The Onboarding team owns the end-to-end experience of agents joining Street. That might include running a smooth and clean migration using Bridge: our best-in-class in-house data migration tool, or working to improve the UX of Street itself. The team has a wide remit to make the experience as seamless and pain-free as possible, as well as reducing as much manual work from agents and support teams as possible.

As the Technical Lead of our Onboarding team, you'll be pivotal to the acceleration of Street. You’ll lead a small cross-functional team, contributing to discovery and ideation, and work alongside designers, product owners and engineers in order to identify, prioritise and solve problems iteratively.

A bit about the job.

  • Supporting, leading and coaching a small but highly talented cross-functional team
  • Being hands-on with building a best in class piece of software
  • Being a driving force behind best programming practices and taking your team on that journey with you
  • Working at scale, building tools and systems that can process large data volumes quickly and consistently
  • Collaborating closely with our in-house Data team, our customers, and commercial colleagues in the business in order to build the best product we can

A bit about you.

  • You’re an experienced Lead Developer who has strong expertise in PHP and JS, and some prior experience of working with Laravel (and you’re keen to remain hands-on)
  • You have experience with Cloud (AWS and/or GCP)
  • You’re a passionate advocate for best practices including Agile, TDD and OOP
  • You’ve had experience building and operating production systems at scale
  • You have experience bringing people on a journey to build things better
  • You have strong empathy, communication and collaboration skills
  • You care about empowering your team and working together to find the best solutions
  • Experience working with Golang is desirable

Salary.

£60,000-£70,000 dependent on experience. However, sometimes the perfect person is far more or less experienced than we anticipated. In these situations planned ranges go out the window. If you think that might be the case, please apply and just let us know.
